Absolutely riveted by Life of Pi. Yann Martel is in the same vein as Paul Auster in his ability to dissect the minutae, hold his readers and keep them turning the pages.

Since the ex-Mother ship shot itself in the landing gear by presenting me with the paradox of banning me from any form of contact, yet insisting that I collect my remaining belongings on pain of them being donated to charity (I didn't even get a say in which one I might benefit), having considered involving the Old Bill on the grounds of it being theft, I've decided not to stoop to her diminutive level and have instead called upon my guardian angel - M - who is contacting the ex-parents, collecting my things and storing them for me.
I'm finally out of their grey hair and they can stop tearing it out.
